The Parent, Teacher, and Student Association for Alameda High School (AHS PTSA) provides financial and volunteer support and partners with AHS staff to help offer students a high-quality, enriching education. AHS PTSA is only able to do this through your active participation and generous donations.
99% of your donation goes directly to AHS science equipment, field trips, staff education, student groups and activities, curriculum essentials, reading books, staff appreciation events, grad night, first aid kits, software, computers, and many, many other items requested by staff.

How You Can Help
The best way to support the AHS PTSA is through a direct donation. To support our students, teachers and staff according to our objectives this year, we'll need the equivalent of at least $100 from every person who joins the PTSA this year, or $82 more than simply our dues. Since not everyone can donate that much money, please thoughtfully consider what you can contribute, and if you'd be willing to pitch in for those who can't match our suggested amount. Additionally, many employers match contributions made through their charitable programs. Look into seeing if your company has a matching program. You can make a difference in the Alameda High School experience not just for your child, but for everyone's children this year!

The PTSA is thrilled to announce that Lori Bustos, our College & Career Center Counselor at the high school, will be giving a very informative talk on "Preparing for Life After High School" during our next General Association meeting on Tuesday, October 20th at 6:30 PM on Zoom, right after a short PTSA business update. Come to the meeting and learn about all the resources available to you to plan your education or career path after high school. Ms. Bustos will provide us with a never-before-seen cheat sheet called "Where Do I Find Information For...?" Thinking of applying to a UC? Are you interested in joining the military? Do you want to know what it takes to be a graphic artist? Ms. Bustos can point you in the right direction! Don't miss this once-a year exclusive presentation! You can find the Zoom link here.

Every year, the AHS PTSA supplies thousands of dollars to support teacher grants and projects that make your student's learning experience better than it was before. Additionally, we give thousands of dollars to support student club activities. Starting or participating in a student club isn't simply a nice way for your teenager to meet new people and develop friendships. They are an opportunity for your children to make an impact in their community and show leadership skills -- both of which are extremely important for them to demonstrate in their college and career school applications. Membership this year has come in much lower than we anticipated just a few months ago. Donations are way down year-over-year. Without a significant increase in both membership AND donations, these grant programs are at risk. Don't make us cut our budget and short-change your student's education and learning opportunities.
